Grumpy Lambs

Grumpy Lamb
A friend posted on facebook last night that he ended his working week with his manager presenting him with a carton of beer as thanks for a busy week. That made me laugh because I'm ending my busy working week with a broken toe!  LOL

It's all the fault of those grumpy lambs I'm afraid! Oh dear they are dangerous creatures! I'd hate to meet one on a dark & stormy night...

Tiny Miss 5 was at her piano lesson on Thursday arvo learning Mary Had a Little Lamb. My normal practise, when teaching little ones, is to encourage them to explore the wider keyboard & navigate the repeating patterns of black keys. So I asked, 'where else can you play this song?' She replied, 'down HERE!' I chuckled to myself as she had just chosen the 'boy's position' (girls normally choose up high & boys down low for some reason LOL). I remarked that this might make the lambs 'grumpy'. She agreed.

While she was making the lambs grumpy & I was listening intently while running down the hallway to my copier I kicked my toe. Oh dear...! As I couldn't say 'shit' I resorted to a squeaky 'o u c h' & kept running through my afternoon...

It wasn't until an hour later that I looked down at my foot (which was a little sore by then) to find some suspicious damage. With a wry smirk, I continued to teach my last student while thinking that I'd done it again.

Yes...the toe is broken....just imagine that I'm just back from the peak of Mt Everest with a gangrenous toe & you'll be in the ballpark. Spose I'm lucky....the last time I broke toes was when I tried to make my 4th & 5th toes on my left foot into donuts with the garden fork!

And Miss 5....?  Yes... peacefully oblivious to the dangers of grumpy lambs...

NB Yes my 5th toe on my left foot is a donut. ;)))
